Graduate Show

After several months without any updates what so ever; a quick post about my new website and portfolio might just get back me in the swing again!
Official photos of the Symington Pretty Housemaid corset, as well as a few other crazy pieces from my graduate exhibition.
A Fully hand tailored Ringmasters jacket, I took the pattern from an original period tailcoat block, and altered slightly to fit the model and design. It took me around 6weeks to make, not bad for a first attempt!
I feel this piece needs a little explanation as it is a rather unusual, to say the least!
Designed by Firak DiBello for a Butoh dance performance. This costume was for the MotherEarth character, inspired by ancient Aztec statues; the many breasts representing fertility and the bounty of the Earth. The Jacket, including the breasts are made from black leather, with crinoline steels, and the skirt from black cotton, as well as further steel supports to create the large rear of the skirt.
